Jordan Picks Northern Illinois at Kent State 11/18/08 College Football

By Jordan • November 17th, 2008

Northern Illinois – 3 at Kent State

NIU’s record when they score 20 or more is 50 – 30. Kent St.’s record is 28 – 25. NIU had a great second half last week vs. Central Michigan and I like them to carry the momentum of that game into this one which is a must win if they want to play in a bowl game. Kent St.’s statistics on paper make them look better than they really are. Kent St. is 1 – 2 in their last three games at home and has given up a substantial amount of points. NIU has also been a beast against the spread all year. NIU has lost it’s last two games and should do whatever it takes to win this game because they have a lot more to play for than Kent St. does knowing that Kent St. will not become Bowl eligible with a 3 – 7 record. The emergence of dual threat freshman Chandler Harnish at quarterback for NIU will be too much to handle for Kent St. as they have struggled with containment on the quarterback. I am also 4 – 0 this year when picking a game that NIU plays in.
